New Sports, Leagues, & Sports Stores Joining the Great Neck Scene

Great Neck is experiencing a dynamic growth in its sports programs for children, with new leagues and activities being introduced regularly. Traditional organizations like the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), Great Neck Soccer, and PAL have long served the community, and now additional opportunities are available through the Great Neck Parks, Chabad JCC, and the Jewish Youth League (JYL). The JYL now offers not only soccer and basketball but also many other activities, providing diverse options for local youth.

Pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, has taken off in Great Neck, with pro leagues forming and a growing community of enthusiasts. Great Neck is fortunate to meet the increasing demand for this popular sport, offering Pickleball at the JCC during the winter, as well as at Parkwood and Allenwood Park during the summer.

Additionally, the Great Neck Parks have teamed up with the Great Neck Soccer Club (GNSC) to provide expanded soccer programs, further enriching the sports landscape in the area.

Furthermore, the addition of "NY Flag Football," which partners with Great Neck Public Schools and is affiliated with the USA Football Association, is another testament to the growing variety of sports. As one of the fastest-growing youth sports, flag football will be featured in the 2028 Olympics, making it an exciting new option for local children.
