As reported in GN News @schnepsmedia residents on the GN Peninsula, have mounted a strong opposition, supported by the GN Superintendent of the school district in assessing the New York State education department’s Regionalization Plan, which would facilitate collaboration among school districts. Superintendent Bossert, at the latest Board of Education meeting Wednesday night said that he would oppose any proposal that would threaten the GN school district’s standing. “No one wants to see tax dollars paid by great neck residence, leaving great neck, and I assure that the administration board feels the same way, and no one wants to see authorities outside of our district dictating directions our district takes.” #thankyou #thankyouthankyouthankyou ♥️

Because we have 9+ villages on the GN peninsula, each construction is in a different jurisdiction. That means each village board gets to decide the fate of each respective new development. There are pros and cons to new multi unit residential buildings.
Attention must be paid. Care, if you dare.

Fascinating to see Great Neck from this vantage point! These distinctive landmarks at North Station Plaza and South Station Plaza are immediately recognizable. The most iconic — the Grace Building with its domed roofline stands out —and has stood the test of time for over one century.
